If you're looking for a luxury base for a golfing holiday in the sun, you need look no further.

There are three superb, challenging golf courses within 10 km of our apartment, two of which are just 3 km away. At the end of a day's golf, you can return to our apartment and relax in the complex's pool before heading of for a meal and a well earned drink. . . . or two.

The first desert course in Europe, Desert Springs has been built to rival any of the now famous desert courses of Arizona and California. It presents unforgettable views and dramatic, hugely testing golf. One is either on lush fairway or chipping back into position from the rugged desert terrain. Designed by successful Walker Cup captain, Peter McEvoy it will, without question, become one of the finest golf resorts in the world. A buggy is recommended.

Located In Mojacar, the Ramón Espinosa designed Marina Golf course is highly unusual in that it spans each side of the hills that overlooks Mojacar bay. This means that after two relatively straightforward opening holes, the par five, 3rd involves a drive from one of the highest raised tees you are ever likely to encounter. Nearly 200 feet drop, don’t measure your distance off the tee, measure “airtime”. The remaining holes on this side of the hill are very tight but when you return to the more open, ocean side, three lakes strategically placed conspire to trap any misplaced drive. A buggy is recommended.

Also located near Mojacar, is the Valle del Este course. Having played here one can not help but feel a sense of rare privilege and achievement walking off a magnificent, golf course. Each hole presents a different challenge that requires much thought before executing the shot. This will undoubtedly play host to Championship events and has been designed to do just that. The views are stunning but don't let them affect your concentration as very few wayward shots are forgiven. The finishing hole is a beautiful par 4 with water cascading to your left flowing from a lake that protects the green on three sides. Highly recommended and one to play now before the golfing tourists catch on. A buggy is recommended.
